NOTES IN THE SAND
The year is 2004, I find myself in Chaouen, all I know is that it is nighttime. A few days ago I lost all notion of time. I have been in Morocco fifteen days, or maybe sixteen. Who cares? Here I am, sipping mint tea, which glows like an emerald on this dark night. I love its flavour; it is possibly what I most like about Morocco. Am I saying this because its autumn and is raining continuously? For seven days I was bewitched by such bright colours, mixed with an infinity of ochres, and all the colours were combined with fate, maintaining a harmony and aesthetic balance. The earth, its fabrics...but this is a long back in my memory and now all I want to do is drink my green tea and wait for this hostile weather to change.
